Our memories
Moments pass, time goes by
And we leave everything behind
Memories are only what we remember
They stay with us forever
People come and people go
Friends come and then they go
But we have to move on
And forget what has already gone
We treasure everything in our mind
All the moments we have left behind
We wish to turn back the time
And relive the best moments of our life
If you don't want to regret
Leaving behind these moments
Always be happy
And make the most of every second you have in your hand
Distance never held us back,
No map, no phone, no negativity.
Barefoot, with a brown paper bag feast.
The sun beating down on my bare shoulders,
My skin peeling physically and metaphorically.
We follow a dizzy mess of paths,
Imprinted
Over time by lost boys and girls
Just like me.
Bird's whistle and chirp,
Ground cracks and snaps
Under us.
Climbing to the top
Of the tallest cliff.
I look over,
As the taste of pb&j coats my mouth,
I am in awe of
the tallest tree,
the brightest stars,
the howling wolf,
the great expanse of green.
My knees shake in the breeze
At the most beautiful city
I have ever seen.
